Question 187008: raphael can load a large shipping truck in 15 hours. working together, raphael and jana can load the same truck in 6 hours. how long would it take to load the truck by herself?
Answer by user_dude2008(1862) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use equation
t(1/rate1 + 1/rate2) = 1
rate1 = raphael's rate = 15 hrs, rate2 = janas rate = x
t(1/15+1/x)=1
t is given as t=6
----> 6(1/15+1/x)=1
1/15+1/x=1/6
2x+30=5x
30=3x
x=10
Ans: jana can load the truck in 10 hrs
