Jim is working 3 times faster than kelly. If jim is finishing work in 2 hour than how much time it will take if both work togather?
================================
Jim DATA:
time = 2 hr/job ; rate = 1/2 job/hr
--------------------------------------
Kelly DATA:
Time = (2/3) hr/job ; rate = (3/2) job/hr
-----------------------------------------
Together DATA
Time = x hr/job ; rate = (1/x) job/hr.
------------------------------------------
Equation:
rate + rate = together rate
1/2 + 3/2 = 1/x
2 = 1/x
x = 1/2 hr. (time for both to do the job together)
