If it takes Brandon 3 hours to paint a house, he can paint of a house in an hour. Likewise, Hasan can paint of a house in an hour. Together, they can paint house in an hour. Add the fractions and then take the reciprocal of the answer (turn the fraction over) to get the time it will take the two of them working together to paint the house. You will want to convert the improper fraction to hours and minutes when you are done. Hint: of an hour is minutes.
