An inlet pipe can fill a tank in 3 hours. An outlet pipe
can empty the tank in 6 hours. If the tank is empty and
both pipes are opened, how many hours will it take to fill
the tank?
-----------------
Each hour, 1/3 of the tank flows in and 1/6 flows out.
Increase per hour = 1/3 - 1/6 = 1/6 of the tank.
---> 6 hours to fill it.
