If we are given 240 lbs of fertilizer to use on 6 lawns, all we need to do is divide the amount of fertilizer by the number of lawns which it must be used on.

So that's 240/6

Which is 40.

So we are allowed 40 lbs of fertilizer per lawn. Or 40/1
