Question 1121766: A farmer, Sarah, has 54 hectares of hay to harvest, she hires a harvester at £1200 a day. If Sarah can harvest 12 ha per day, what will it cost her to harvest this hay?
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the harvester costs 1200 a day.
54 hectares / 12 per day = 4.5 days.
if she can rent the harvester for half a day, it will cost her 4.5 * 1200 = 5400.
if she can only rent the harvest for full days, it will cost her 5 * 1200 = 6000.
