Your pump drains    of the tank volume per hour.


When two pumps work together, they drain   =   of the tank volume per hour.   ( 3/2 = 3/2 hours = 1.5 hours )


Hence, your friend' pump drains   -  =  -  =  =   of the tank volume per hour, working alone.


It means that your friend's pump will empty the tank in 2 hours, working alone.
