Answer by jorel1380(3719) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since the bacteria double every 2.5 minutes, the bottle was half full at 2.5 minutes prior to the bottle being completely full--or approximately at 1900. 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2=1/16, so the bottle was 1/16th filled at 4 x 2.5 minutes, or 10 minutes prior to the entire bottle being filled; which would make 1853 the time at which the bottle was 1/16th full
