6(50) = 8(50)
300 + 400 = 700/14 = 50

AT LEAST YOU GAVE IT A SHOT!! TRY TO FOLLOW MY APPROACH:

Let x=number of days it takes both working together to complete the project
Fugita works at the rate of 50/6 widgets per day (For example, if it takes him 10 days to do 10 cars, then he can do 10/10 or 1 car per day, right?)
Obn works at the rate of 50/8 widgets per day
Together they work at the rate of 50/6+50/8 widgets per day
50/6=200/24 and
50/8=150/24
so
50/6+50/8=200/24+150/24=350/24=175/12 widgets per day. So our equation to solve is:
(175/12)x=50 multiply both sides by 12
175x=600 divide both sides by 175
x=3.4286 days-------------------------------number of days it takes with both working together

In 3.4286 days, Fugita can build (50/6)*3.4286 or 28.5714 widgets
In 3.4286 days, Obn can build (50/8)*3.4286 or 21.42875 widgets
28.5714+21.42875=50
~50=50
