Looks like an error:
" Yolly can clean the room in 9 minutes"
I think that should be 90 minutes -check it.

Constant Rate of Work Rule RT=J;
J for amount of jobs.

Your example uses 1 for how many jobs.

Yolly
Marie

Marie and Yolly together

Let t be the number of minutes during which both are working together.

---
Something seems off in the description.
If Yolly needs 9 minutes to do the whole one job, and if Yolly works alone for FIFTEEN minutes before Marie comes to help, then the amount of this job done BEFORE Marie arrives is .
Yolly would have already finished in 9 minutes herself, and would not need to work any more than 9 minutes.

Yolly can clean the room in 9 minutes and Marie can do it 60 minutes. if Yolly cleans the room for
15 minutes before Marie joins her, how long would it take them to finish? my question is how can i translate it to an equation?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yolly rate of work is Yr =  of the job per minute.
Marie rate of work is Mr =  of the job per minute.
When they work together, their combined rate of work is
     Yr + Mr =  =  = .
Since Yoully just did  of the job before Mary joined her, they together should do only  of the job.
So, the equation for time "t" is  = .
Can you solve it and to get the value of "t" now ?
Hey, by the way, I gave you the scheme of the solution,
    but I don't like your NUMBERS: I think they are WRONG.
        DOUBLE CHECK THEM !
                ALL THE ERRORS in this solutions are due TO YOUR NUMBERS !!!
Let me ask you a question?
Your job was to write 2 lines of a text with numbers, and you failed to do it correctly.
How can you learn solving problems, if you are not able to write 2 (two !) lines of a text correctly?
How can you communicate with people, if you are not able to write 2 (two !) lines of a text correctly?
You want the tutors work for you (and I really worked !), but you failed to provide correct input data?
I can not understand it ! There is no place in my mind for it !
Think about it !
If Yolly can clean the room in 9 minutes, and she works for 15 minutes, what do you think will happen? Wouldn't she finish cleaning the room in 9 minutes, and then sit and relax for the other 6?
What would Marie have to do? Wouldn't the room already be cleaned by Yolly 6 minutes before?
You NEED to TOTALLY, TOTALLY ignore or act as though you haven't seen the attempt by the person who calls himself JOGS. He makes no sense 99.9% of the times. Most people already know this!
