Question 1028977: A ski resort can manufacture enough snow to open its steepest run in 16 h, whereas naturally falling snow would have to last for 48 h to provide enough snow. If the resort makes snow at the same time as it is snowing naturally, how long will it be before the run can be opened?
Answer by jorel555(1290)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
t/16 is the rate the resort makes snow,
t/48 is the rate for naturally falling snow.
If it is snowing, AND the resort is making snow, then
1/16+1/48=1/t
3/48+1/48=1/t
4/48=1/t
4t=48
t=12 hours to make enough snow, working together!!!!!
