Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if 30 is added to a certain number
n + 30
and the sum is divided by 6,
the result is 1 more than 1/2 of the original number.
= n + 1
Multiply by 6 and cancel the denominators
n + 30 = 3n + 6
n - 3n = 6 - 30
-2n = -24
n = -24/-2
n = +12 is the number

Check solution in orignal equation
= (12) + 1
= 6 + 1
