Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2X+2(X+200)=1100
2X+2X+400=1100
4X=1100-400
4X=700
X=700/4
X=175 MPH. FOR THE SLOWER PLANE.
175+200=375 MPH FOR THE FASTER PLANE.
PROOF
2(175+375)=1100
2*550=1100
1100=1100
