Question 193008: D=1.2 sqrt h. gives the distance in miles that a person can see to the horizon from h height in feet. (1 mile = 5,280 feet)
A solve the equation I got 19360000 feet is this correct.
B. Long peak in the rocky mtn natl park is 14,255 feet in elevation. How far can you see to the horizon from the top of long peak? Can you see cheyenne Wyoming (about 89 miles away)

3rd order radical of 432x^8 (instead of square root it is the cube root)
How is this simplified.
is this how you set it up:
3 over the SR of 423x^8 ?
I am not really sue where to go from here. Do I find the cube root of 423 first the mulitiply by power of 8 or the other way around?

Question 193305: (23x+14)Squared=25
I took the square root of both sides and brought the right side of the equation over in order to rationalize the equation. I'm left with
23x-9=0
I need to solve for "x" am i on the right path.

Question 193314: 3x^2+1=2x is the problem
Which ever side i place the equation on i end up with a negative as a square root and i remember my professor mentioning you cant have a negative square root. I end up with X= -2+/- the sq. root of -8 over 6
What is my problem here?

Question 193634: Divide and Simplify.
√1/18
I tried reducing 18 to 9, so it would be the square root of 1/9 then find I found the square root of 9, so it would be the square root of 1/3. But I don't know if that's right.
