Question 176126: I need to simplify a square root that contains a fraction. The numerator is itself a fraction. It is one plus the square root of 2 over just 2. That is, the numerator of the fraction within the radical is first 1, then the latter 1 is plus the square root of 2 with a denominator of 2 . Then the denominator of the entire radical is 2. I know that this first fractional radical can be simplified to a radical with the numerator of 2 plus the square root of 2 with a denominator of 4. But I do not know the process whereby the first radical is simplified to the next radical. I would appreciate very much an explanation about how this first radical is simplified to the second radical.

Question 177205: Good day to all of the tuitors here. iam just hopeful that my math homework might be solved by one of them. I actually have a little knowledge about conjugate of radical expressions but i have doubts if my final answer is correct. The problem goes like this....... Simplify the square root of x over 2x+1. Now in my try out of answering this question, my answer is square root of x times 2x-1 over 2x-1. Is that correct? pls help me. I need to know the correct answer or i will have trouble sleeping. Thanks to the tuitors. You guys have overwhelming answers.

Assume all variables are positive and please show your work! THANKS! I've tried to do it myself but it doesn't work because I don't know how to solve if the radical is under the radical.
