Question 141931: Please,please,please I need your help! An application of a rational function is T = (AB)/(A+B), which gives the time, T, it takes for two worders to complete a particular task where A & B represent the time it would take for each individual worker to complete the identical task.
Estimate how long it takes you to complet a task of mowing the lawn in a given week. Suppose that Joe is slower than you to complete the task?
Include the type of job (mowing), the time it takes you and Joe individually to complete the job if you worked together. Include unit in your answer.
I don't have a clue. Please help...thanks in advance.

Question 141944: I am having difficulty trying to simplify radical equations that use exponents.
The problem I ma trying to solve is:
5x{sqrt(448x^5y^3}-3y{sqrt(63x^7y}
I understand I am supposed to factor down the 448 and 63, but I am not sure what is supposed to happen with the exponents. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Question 142279: I would really appreciate help on this problem. It is multiplying radicals.
the square root of 3x^3 divided by the sqaure root of 4y^2 times the sqaure root of 9x^2 divided by the square root of 2y^4.
I thought that you multiplied the top and bottom by the bottom, which gets rid of the radical on the bottom, but it just isnt working out.

Question 142300: Okay I worked this problem all the way to the last step and now Im no sure if I should write zero or no solution. The original problem was the square root of 3x+3 (+1)=the square root of 3x+4. I got 3x+4=3x+4, now solving this out will leave me with 0=0. So would the answer be no solution or zero?

Question 143247: Simplify the radical √20/√4
I think I did this problem the right way, I just want to make sure I am since I have several of these to do. Here are my steps...
√20 = √4X5 = 2√5
√4 = 2
2√5/2 (You cancel out the 2)
Answer √5

Question 143530: I just want to make sure I have the right answer, if I don't could you please explain the steps to me.
Problem---Find the perimeter of a rectangle if the dimensions are length √19 + 7 and width √76.
Here is my work
“Sqrt19 + 7”^2 + “sqrt76”^2 = perimeter
19 +7 + 76 = perimeter
26 + 76 = perimeter
102 = Perimeter
Perimeter = 102

Question 143528: I just want to make sure I have the right answer, if I don't could you please explain the steps to me.
Problem---Find the area of a rectangle whose width is √2 and whose length is √40. Show your work. Write “Sqrt” to show √.
Here is my answer
Sqrt2 X Sqrt40 = Sqrt80
Sqrt80 = sqrt64 X 16
Sqrt 64 X 16 = 8 sqrt16

Question 143532: Could you please help me with this problem, I think I have the right answer, I just want to make sure that it is.
Problem---Explain in words the steps you would follow to solve √(x- 6)= 5. Give the solution for x.
Here is my answer
Since you cannot separate the terms under the radical until the radical itself is eliminated, you will make the equations on both sides of the sign to the second power. Once this is done sqrtx-6 turns into x-6, and five turns into twenty-five. From here your will add six to both sides, and there is your answer, x=31.
