(root)3x(squared) - 2x - 2(root)3 =0
I keep getting x=2root3 as my answer, but it's wrong. My teacher gave me the answer root3(+-)root21 / 3
How do I get that answer?

I was wondering if you could help figure how to work a couple of radical equations. I tried them tons of different ways but I don't think I have the right answers. I also have problems with 4th and 5th roots
1) square root of 1/2 plus 3square root of 3/8. I got square 2 over/divided by 2 plus 3square root 6 over/divided by 2.
2) 5th root of 1/8. I got 5th root of 4 over/divided by 2.

Question 31715: Please help me simplify this problem: square root of 8 divided by 2 times the square root of 5 plus the square root of six.
Sorry, I do not know how to make a square root sign so I could not type the problem out but I will type it out without the square root signs to give you some idea. The square root signs go over the 8, 5, and the six:

Ignore the ! (exclamation mark)
The six is supposed to be part of the denominator!

Question 32069: Hello. Here is my question. I know how to solve this problem if it didn't have the second square root in front of the "x" on the left of the equality. I would show you work but all I have been able to do is move the -1 over to the left side (as a +1). After that, I can't do anything else until I get rid of the squareroot in front of the "x". Here is the problem: .

I get how to subtract 15 and 50 but i dont get where to go from (0.4(35)=14) i dont get how they got 14. Please help!

Question 27239: ok i had this test and thers this one problem that says simplify,
the problem is the 6th root of 81x^10,
its hard to type out symbols but it'd be a square root sign only 6 out side of it, and inside is 81x^10. I put the answer as x outside of 6th root of 81x^4,
whats the answer
