Question 122614: I have three questions.
1. Simplify [√(32xy^7)/(√2xy)] I think it is 4y^3 but not sure if it is
[√ 4y^3]
2. Simplify and combine like radicals.
[5(forth root√(16x) + 5(forth root √625x]. I have 25(forth root√x) is that correct?
3. Simplify the expression by rationalizing the demoninator √[3/7]. This one I have no idea what they are talking about.
Thank you in advance for any assistance .

Question 122545: I have two questions that have to do with the same model. For the following function, C computes the cost in millions of dollars of implementing a city recycling project when x percent of the citizens participate.
C(x)= 1.5x/100-x
Using this model, approximately what is the cost if 60% of the citizens participate?
Using this model, estimate the percentage of participation that can be excepted if $5 million is spent on this recycling project? Set up an equation and solve algebraically. Round to the nearest whole percent.
I don't understand how to do this so any suggestions will be very helpful. Thank you

Question 119982: I have a homework problem where we are asked to find the perimeter of a triangle, simple enough. But, after finding that one of the sides was a square root, I did not know how to add it to the two other sides, which were whole numbers.

Question 124427: Can anyone help me solve this equation?
160x=3x + the sqaure root of 50x+9000
160x-3x=the square root of 50x + 9000 is all the farther I've gotten. I think I square both sides now to get rid of the square root symbol, but do I need to simplify it first and if so, how?

Question 125179: Hello!! Can someone try and solve this one, I not understanding this. Thank You so much!! --For the following function, C computes the cost in millions of dollars of implementing a city recycling project when x percent of the citizens participate. it is supossed to be shown like: "C(x)=1.5x over 100-x" (1.5x/100-x)
a) Using this model, approximately what is the cost if 60% of the citizens participate?
b) Using this model, estimate the percentage of participation that can be excepted if $5 million is spent on this recycling project? Set up an equation and solve algebraically. Round to the nearest whole percent.
