Find the time required for an object to fall to the ground from a building that is 1400 ft high.

Let "s(t)" be the height of the object above the ground at time = t seconds.

s(t) = -16t^2+1400
----------------
When the object hits the ground its height is zero.
--------------------
-16t^2+1400 = 0
t^2 = -1400/-16
t^2 = 87.5
t = 9.35 seconds
-------------------
It will hit the ground in 9.35 seconds
