Question 907453: My professor is impossible to understand so I have been trying to self-teach. Currently we're working on radicals with multiple variables to different variables but no numbers. He wants us to reduce each variable to a single exponent. I have been able to get the correct answers when working with single variables and often get the exponent for Y correct but not X when working with multiple variables. I guess what I am asking is what is this called and where can I find examples? Everything I find regarding radicals includes numbers and is looking to reduce them to like _^5 sqrt4 rather than x^n Y^n which is the solution I am expected to give. Any help would be appreciated
