Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(Square root of 4x+1) + 3=0
sqrt(4x+1) = -3
This tells you right away there is no solution; but let's keep going.
Square both sides to get:
4x+1 = 1
4x=0
x=0
----------
Check the answer:
sqrt(4*0+1) + 3 = 0
sqrt1 + 3 = 0
1+3=0
4=0
So, x=0 is not an answer of the original equation.
There is no solution.
