Multiply numeratorand denominator by (sqrt8-sqrt6) to get:
[(sqrt2+sqrt6)(sqrt8-sqrt6)]/[2]
=[4-2sqrt3+4sqrt3-6]/2
=[-2+2sqrt3]/2
=[-1+sqrt3]
