SOLUTION: I tried to do 1/( (SQRT2)-3)
I multiplyed the numerator and the denominator by -3-(SQRT2) and I got
-3-(SQRT2)/-14 but my teacher said it was wrong. What did I do wrong?

You selected a mathematically correct form of the conjugate of the denominator to form your multiplier, but then you must have done the arithmetic incorrectly because
for your denominator calculation.
Personally, I would have created the conjugate by simply changing the sign on the second term of the binomial. My "times 1" multiplier would have been
. My final answer would have come out to be:
which is equivalent to the answer you would have had given correct arithmetic. Go back and recheck your calculations.
