what is x = to in the equation z = (x-y)/x
-----------
z = (x-y)/x
zx = x-y
zx - x = -y
x - xz = y
x*(1 - z) = y
x = y/(1 - z)

Answer by sofiyac(983)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z=x^2-yx
subtract z from each side
x^2-yx-z=0 now use the quadratic formula
for equation in the form ax^2+bx+c=0

so we have
