Solve for x:
First, add to both sides of the equation.
Now square both sides.
Then, simplify this so that the radical is on one side by itself by subtracting 3x from both sides.
Subtract 2 from both sides.
Now square both sides.
Simplify.
Subtract 12x from both sides.
Subtract 4 from both sides.
Factor an x.
Apply the zero product principle. (If A*B = 0, then either A = 0, or B = 0, or both)
