for some reason, mathematiciansdo not like square roots on a denominator. Why? God knows.
Anyway, we therefore need to "rationalise the denominator". We do this, in this sort of simple case, by multiplying by 1 (but written as a fraction)...as:
--> now multiply by "1"
--> but written as the second fraction
done.
