Question 74312: Do anybody know how to relate radical exprerssions and their applications to everyday life?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you have an area of a square, then you can find the length of the sides. This is because the area is given as
where x is the length of the side
So if you take the square root of both sides
it's equal to plus-minus square root of A, but we'll ignore the negative answer (a negative length doesn't make sense)
When you take the square root of the area, then you'll find the length of the sides.
