Question 73878: I need help I do not understand how to solve them ..Can someone show me step by step please....chapter 9 sect.9.4 # 28

Perform the indicated multiplication. Then simplify each radical expression.
Problem #28
radical (7) (2radical(3) + 3 radical (7) )

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
radical (7) (2radical(3) + 3 radical (7) )
The rule for multiply radicals is (sqrt(a))(sqrt(b))=sqrt(ab)
Your problem:
= [2(sqrt(7)*sqrt(3)] +[(sqrt(7)*(3sqrt7)]
=[2sqrt(21) + 3*7]
=2sqrt21 + 21
