A circular solar cell must deliver 18 watts of energy. If each square centimeter of the cell that is in the sunlight produces 0.01 watt of energy, how long must the radius of the cell be?
---------------
18 W/0.01 W/sq cm = 1800 sq cms
----
A = pi*r^2 = 1800
cm
r =~ 23.94 cm
---------------
PS Watt is not a unit of energy, it's a unit of power.
The solar cell's output is measured in watts, a measure of power.
Joules are energy. 1 Watt*second = 1 Joule
