Question 72753: I am having trouble with this problem... maybe someone can of any assistance!
Solve:
3^√x^2 = 4
( This is translated as 3 cubed the square root of x squared equals 4) "^" means it is either cubed or squared.... Thank you

Answer by rmromero(383)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

If the problem is ³ = 4 or the cube root of x^2 = 4

³³ = 4³ let us undo cube root
x^2 = 64 extract the sqrt
sqrt x^2 = sqrt 64
x = 8

Checking : x = 8
³ = 4
³ = 4
³ = 4
4 = 4 ----------->>True

Therefore x = 4
