Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 x + 2 y = 3................(1)
3 x + 2 y = 5................(2)
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -1
Multiply (2) by 1
-1 x -2 y = -3
3 x + 2 y = 5
Add the two equations
2 x = 2
/ 2
x = 1
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 2 y = 3
1 + 2 y = 3
2 y = 3
2 y = 2
y = 1
x= 1
y= 1
The solution (1,1)
