First, subtract 2x from both sides. Which leaves:
3x+2=-10
Then, subtract 2 from both sides:
3x= -12
Finally divide both sides by 3x:
x= -4

8-5P=4P-1
First, add one to each side:
9-5P= 4P
Then, add 5P to both sides:
9=9P
Finally, divide both sides by 9:
1=P

-8=-2.2X
