Question 638312: Write 4x3 + 8x2 - 96x in factored form.
Answer by ptaylor(2198)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x^3+8x^2-96x factor out 4x and we have:
4x(x^2+2x-24)
Now x^2+2x-24 is a quadratic in standard form and it can be factored:
(x+6)(x-4)and this gives us
4x(x+6)(x-4)
Hope this helps---ptaylor
