QUESTION:
"find the indicated function values for each function" this is under the chapter Radical Expressions and Functions and I can't seem to understand what they mean??
Problem: h(x)=radical sign then (x-2)^2 h(5)
h(3)
h(0)
h(-5)
ANSWER;

h(x) = rad { (x-2)^2 }
To find out h( 5), just replace x by 5.

That is,

h(5) = rad { (5-2)^2 }
= rad { (3 )^2
= rad { 9}
= 3, because square root of 9 is 3

Now,
h(3) = rad { (3-2)^2 }
= rad { (1)^2 }
= rad 1
= 1 , because square root of 1 is 1

h(0) = rad { (0-2)^2 }
= rad { (-2)^2 }
=rad { 4 }
= 2, because square root of 4 is 2

h(-5) =rad { (-5-2)^2 }
=rad { (-7)^2 }
= rad { 49 }
= 7, because square root of 49 is 7

Hope you Understood.

Regards.
