Hi
Using the vertex form of a parabola, where(h,k) is the vertex
f(x)= -2x^2+2x+3
f(x)=-2[x^2-x]+3
f(x)=-2[(x-.5)^2 - .25] +3
f(x)=-2[(x-.5)^2 +.5 +3
f(x)=-2[(x-.5)^2 + 3.5 V(.5,3.5), Line of symmetry x = .5
a = -2 < 0, parabola opens downward, vertex a maxixmum Pt F(x) = 3.5
