if the roots of a quadratic equation are -2+sq root of 6 and -2- square root of 6, write the equation in ax^2+bx+c=0 form
:
x = -2 +/-
x + 2 = +/-
Square both sides
(x+2)^2 = 6
FOIL
x^2 + 4x + 4 = 6
x^2 + 4x + 4 - 6 = 0
x^2 + 4x - 2 = 0, is the equation
