Okay, from
z(2z+3) = -2
we get
2z^2 + 3z = -2
2z^2 + 3z + 2 = 0
now apply the quadratic formula and get
z = (-3 ± sqrt(9 - 16)) / 4
z = (-3 ± sqrt(-7)) / 4
z = (-3 ± i*sqrt(7)) / 4
