X can't equal zero because division by zero is undefined unless you mean
y=1/(x+4) then when x=0 y=1/4

what is the asymptote and graph for:
y = 1/x + 4 I know or think I know that x = 0 but does y = 4 or -4?
----------------
If your equation is y = (1/x)+4 there is a VA at x = 0.
--------------
If your equation is y = 1/(x+4) there is a VA at x = -4
