SOLUTION: Simplify (be sure to rationalize all denominators)
10. 3b[SQRT(27a^5b)] + 2a[SQRT(3a^3b^3)]
I somehow came up with SQRT(3)(2SQRTa^3b^3a+9bSQRTa^5b)but thats not the correct

Question 43149: Simplify (be sure to rationalize all denominators)
10. 3b[SQRT(27a^5b)] + 2a[SQRT(3a^3b^3)]
I somehow came up with SQRT(3)(2SQRTa^3b^3a+9bSQRTa^5b)but thats not the correct answer and I need to learn all the steps to come to the correct answer so I'll know for futre problems like this. Thank you!
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3b[SQRT(27a^5b)] + 2a[SQRT(3a^3b^3)]
=3b[3a^2sqrt(3ab)] +2a[absqrt(3ab)]
=9a^2b sqrt(3ab) + 2a^2b sqrt(3ab)
= 11a^2b sqrt(3ab)
Cheers,
stan H.
