A TV set can be 20 inches or maybe even 25 inches, this refers to the diagonal of a screen. A 30 inch TV set has a width of 24 inches. What is it's height?

A 30 inch TV set has a width of 24 inches (30" being the diagonal)
Applying the Pythagorean theorem to find h: h^2 + 24^2 = 30^2
sqrt(30^2-24^2) = 18", the height of the screen
