Okay from
6x^2 + 1 = -8x
we get
6x^2 + 8x + 1 = 0
and
x = (-8 ± sqrt(64 - 24)) / 12
x = (-8 ± sqrt(40)) / 12
x = (-8 ± 2*sqrt(10)) / 12
x = (-4 ± sqrt(10)) / 6
and we're done...
