= 4y(2y) + 4y(-√3) + √3(2y) + √3(-√3) {used foil method}
= 8y^2 - 4y√3 + 2y√3 - √9 {multiplied through}
= 8y^2 - 2y√3 - 3 {combined like terms and evaluated √9 to be 3}
