Question 401612: Hi,
I am very confused and do not know how to start. The problem is this. Many people know that the weight of an object on Earth also varies according to the elevation of the object.but did you know that the weight of an object on Earth also varies according to the elevation of the object? In particular, the weight of an object follows this equation w=CR^-2 for r. The -2 is supposed to be an exponent, but I CANT MAKE IT GO UP. Where c is a constant and r is the distance that the object is from the center of the Earth.
a. Solve the equation for w=Cr^-2 for r.I did the equation w=c/r^2 but I am not sure what the number should be. Please advise, thank you
