Question 401021: Could someone please help me with this problem. We didn't cover it in class, and there isn't another example like it in our book!
x-3sqrt(x)-24=-8sqrt(x)
It would help me a lot if someone could show me how to do it!
Thank you:)

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x-3sqrt(x)-24=-8sqrt(x)
x - 24 = -5sqrt(x)
Square both sides

Just a quadratic now.
(x-9)(x-64) = 0
