Solve the following equations.
A) (sqrt of x)-2=1
((sqrtof x)-2)^2 = 1^2
x-2=1
x=3
B) sqrt of x^3=27
(sqrt of x^3)^2 = 27^2
x^3=729
x=9
C) cuberoot of x^2=9
(cuberoot of x^2)^3= 9^3
x^2=729
x=27

B and C are correct.
In A however, (sqrt of x) - 2 = 1, you want to isolate the root BEFORE squaring both sides, so
sqrt of x = 3 and
x = 9
Now if you meant sqrt of (x - 2) = 1, then the answer is 3. Notice the difference.
