Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve:
Add 5x to both sides.
Add 3 to both sides.
Solve using the quadratic formula: For your equation, a = 1, b = 5, and c = 3
Simplify.
This would fit your answer C) if you had used parentheses around the numerator , thus:
x = (-5+/-sqrt(13))/2
