Let f(x)=x^2+2x-1 and g(x)=2x-4. Find 2f(x)-3g(x).
What I have tried was:
2(x^2+2x-1)-3(2x-4)
(2x^2+4x-2)-(6x+12)
2x^2-2x-14
The answer is supposed to be 2x^2-2x+10, but I don't see how you get that.

when you distributed the 3 , you changed the sign of the constant term (should be -12)
