Question 330949: Let me preface this question with a MEA CULPA as I do not know how to enter the square root sign via the keyboard.
question: the sq. root of (x+2)(x-6) = x-5;
my answer: I squared both sides of equation; x^2 - 4x -12 = x^2 -10x + 25;
solved for x; x = 37/6 (might that be correct?)
Thanks for any and all help.
