Question 298130: Could some one explain to me how to do this problem?

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x-sqrt(3x-2)=4
x-4=sqrt(3x-2)
x^2-8x+16=3x-2 square each side.
x^2-11x+18=0
(x-9)(x-2)=0
x=9 is the only answer.
