Find the rate of speed of a car that left a 150 feet skid mark. Round to the nearest whole number and solve the formula for L.
r=2√5*L
r=55 and L=150
55=2√5(150)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the rate of speed of a car that left a 150 feet skid mark. Round to the nearest whole number and solve the formula for L.
r=2√5*L
---
L = r/(2sqrt(5)
L = 150/(2sqrt(5)
L = 75/sqrt(5
L = 75*sqrt(5)/5
L = 15*(sqrt(5))
L is approximately 33 mph
